Cases of Queensland fruit fly have been reported in Greensborough, Watsonia, Viewbank, Briar Hill, Rosanna, Montmorency, St Helena, Eltham and Eltham North. 
Fruit fly are not picky and will infest a large variety of fruit. Queensland fruit fly is a devastating horticulture pest, so measures to eradicate it are imperative.
A couple of easy steps that can be taken are to remove all ripe fruit from trees and not allow any rotting fruit to remain on the ground.  You can also put out fruit fly traps to catch and monitor the presence of fruit fly in your area.
