To help our plants to grow happy and healthy we need to keep our soil healthy; this ensures plants have access to nutrients as they need them. As plants grow they take nutrients from the soil and use them as food (which in some cases then becomes food for us). Different nutrients help the plant to perform different tasks. The nutrients and quantities removed from the soil varies greatly from plant to plant. This is one of the reasons crop rotation is so important in our veggie gardens.

Plants use large amounts of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium (NPK), so most fertilisers mainly contain these nutrients. There are other nutrients that are equally as important but used by plants in smaller amounts (sometimes referred to as micronutrients) that are often forgotten, this is when Rockdust comes in.

Rockdust is a natural, organic and chemical free mineral fertilizer. Munash Rock dust is made in the Victorian goldfields from a by-product which was previously wasted, a special selection of geological rocks are included.

Rockdust helps to restore balance to soil in a number of ways including feeding microbes, releasing minerals and trace elements into the soil, reducing heavy metals and rebalancing water.
